ACE Glass Receives Excellence in Construction Awards from Associated Builders and Contractors of Arkansas

Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) of Arkansas announced that ACE Glass’ work on the Hunt Tower Office Building has earned the company first place in the category of Exteriors: All Other Exterior Finishes and their work on the CARTI Cancer Center Building earned them first place in the category of Interiors: All Other Interior Finishes in ABC’s Excellence in Construction awards. ACE Glass accepted the awards on April 9th during the annual ‘Excellence in Construction’ celebration at the Clarion Resort on Lake Hamilton in Hot Springs, AR.

“ABC congratulates ACE Glass for their outstanding work on the Hunt Tower Office Building and the CARTI Cancer Center Building,” said Bill Roachell, ABC Arkansas President. “These projects are true examples of exceptional craftsmanship and professionalism that define merit shop construction. It is an honor for the association to recognize these projects with our top construction excellence awards.”

ABC Arkansas designed the Excellence in Construction program to recognize excellent performance in the merit shop construction field. The award honors all construction team members, including the contractor, owner, architect and engineer. This year's competition was open to all construction projects completed by ABC member firms during 2015. The winning projects were selected from entries submitted from across the state and were judged on complexity, attractiveness, unique challenges overcome, completion time, workmanship, innovation, safety and cost.

The owners of these projects are Hunt Ventures and CARTI. The architectural/engineering firms used were CORE Architects and Polk Stanley Wilcox.

A panel from the Construction Management Department of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock served as the competition’s judges.

Case Study Feature from US Builders Review

"ACE Glass, Where the Quality is Clear."  This tagline is our mentality everyday, with every project.  In recent blog posts, we've talked mostly about how ACE Glass Construction Corporation can provide the same level of quality and professionalism to your home as we do for our commercial projects.  We want to shed some light on this by sharing an article from US Builders Review 2013 Fall Edition.

Some topics discussed in this case study include:

  • Reputation
  • Andersen Widows
  • Installation
  • Project Management
  • Strategic Partnerships

We’re known for multimillion dollar glazing jobs and projects that require a lot of manpower and coordination... Not many people in this state can perform projects like we can; usually companies have to come in from out of state.
— Courtney Little

"Ace Glass Construction Corp. Leading the Arkansas Glass Glazing and Supplying Industry Since 1986"

"Despite a tight site and logistical issues, Ace Glass has upheld the same quality standard the company has been known for over the last 27 years. “We’re the ones bringing new products to the market; we’re very much innovators in our industry, but quality always comes before quantity,” adds Courtney. “That’s why we self perform nearly everything. If there’s something we can’t do, we’ll learn how to do it in-house.” For nearly three decades, Ace Glass Construction Corp. has been leading the local industry with a trusted reputation and first-class quality products."

Here's an excerpt from the blog "When Should I Replace My Windows?"

Knowing when to replace your home’s windows isn’t always as clear as it may seem. If your home is older than 15 years, it’s probably a good time to check and make sure your windows are still operating correctly. For instance, do you have trouble opening or closing your windows? Do you consistently find moisture on your windows’ interior? Just like your washing machine, refrigerator, or roof shingles, over time, your windows and doors need to be replaced. To help you through the replacement process, Andersen provides the following tips and solutions to help determine if the time to replace — and upgrade — is now.

Quality work is a never ending job.

"ACE Glass Where the Quality Is Clear" is something that you are probably familiar with hearing us say, but quality work really is something we value. We recently revisited Vol Walker Hall at the University of Arkansas to replace a window. Featured below are Jeremy Smith and Larry Leonard who did a great job working on this project. Awesome job guys and thanks to Northwest Arkansas Media for mentioning us.
